Pond is seeking an experienced Business Development (BD) Manager to work out of either the Jacksonville, FL or Peachtree Corners, GA (HQ) office. This qualified professional will lead the strategy for increasing sales and strategic growth in both the private and public sectors, as well as maintain strong, professional relationships with existing clients.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Infrastructure and the Business Development Director, the BD Manager will lead the regional BD efforts for our infrastructure division specifically focusing on planning, site / civil engineering, transportation services, transit, aviation, water resources, environmental services, landscape architecture, architecture and interior design services. The BD Manager will play a key role in the implementation of business development strategies to achieve aggressive and sustainable growth targets as well as increase overall infrastructure sales. The BD Manager will facilitate this growth by establishing an annual strategic plan, setting BD priorities, leading client engagements, identifying teaming partners and growing the business within public and private sectors.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Infrastructure Program Leads / Project Managers to identify, research and develop new prospects and business opportunities
- Develop and maintain positive relationships and monitor client satisfaction with existing clients to foster repeat business
- Support Infrastructure operations annual growth metrics by overseeing sales pipeline prioritization and fulfillment to ensure achievement of goals
- Develop and execute short and long-term sales plans
- In concert with the Infrastructure Leadership Team, participate in strategic planning, development, and the implementation of business development and marketing programs
- Track leads and maintain database for the region using CRM
- Assist / advise Marketing and Project Managers with proposal preparation and presentations
- Maintain a diverse network of relationships including people of influence within our industry, key community partners, strategic partners, and prospective clients
- Participate in professional associations and attend networking functions to include clients and the community, and provide feedback and information on markets and trends
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ten years or more related experience in the AEC industry
- Current experience working within the region having relevant and immediate sales contacts
- Proficient in the use of CRM programs and Microsoft Office
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Self-motivated, disciplined and results-oriented
- Ability to travel as needed for client / project requirements
- Adheres to company policies and procedures
