professionals offering full-service architecture; interior design; graphic
design; retail strategy and design; as well as structural, MEP, and civil
engineering. The firm has twelve offices throughout the Northeast,
mid-Atlantic, Midwest, and Southeast regions of the U.S.
Company History
Cubellis was founded in 1986. Located in Boston, the firm was a 20-person architecture firm specializing in retail and industrial work. After acquiring the architecture and engineering firm of Bradford Saivetz Associates in Massachusetts in 2000, Len Cubellis successfully spearheaded Cubellis’ expansion into the mid-Atlantic and Midwest regions. The firm’s Chicago office more than tripled in size when it merged with architecture firm Mann Gin Dubin and Frazier in 2005. Additional growth included mergers with leading Detroit retail designer Marco Design Group in 2004, Virginia-based Design Concepts Architects in 2005, and New Jersey design firm Ecoplan, also in 2005. In 2006, Cubellis expanded its Philadelphia office through its merger with GBQC Architects, followed by Florida design firm Synalovski Guitierrez Romanik Architects, Inc. (SGR).
