Description
We are seeking a persuasive storyteller with a passion for winning work. Through your knowledge of the A/E/C industry, strong technical writing skills, and thorough understanding of the RFP process, you will help Galloway continue to expand in existing markets as well as enter new markets and regions. The Proposal Manager is responsible for executing compelling proposals and bringing vision and continuous improvement to the proposal process. This position requires advanced knowledge of the RFP process, strong leadership capabilities, and a vision for an effective proposal team. The ideal candidate demonstrates diverse experience in federal, municipal, and private solicitation responses and has worked within the A/E/C industry.

Your Day-to-Day
Leads proposal efforts and deliverables including win strategy development, positioning, and proposal deliverables.
Translates Galloway’s vision, brand, and strategy into compelling visual and written content.
Develops competitive win themes and differentiators, describing features/benefits, and defining key messages.
Provides quality control and compliance reviews to create a winning submittal that is aligned and compliant with the client’s evaluation and selection criteria.
Takes personal responsibility on the toughest, most complex, and competitive opportunities.
Effectively supports the technical team’s response efforts through customized solutions that maximize individual strengths and capabilities.
Embraces and leverages technology to support process improvements.
Builds strong, trusting relationships with the technical team to effectively coordinate during proposal submissions.
Identifies relevant solicitation opportunities across all Galloway disciplines and markets.
Identifies and helps lead best practices and process improvement initiatives. Seeks out and develops solutions for team challenges.
Implements company image/brand guidelines on assigned projects.
Coordinates and creates interview presentations and content as needed.
Coaches technical team for interview preparation.
Leads post-RFP debrief meetings and ensures lessons learned are documented.
Creates and captures new and updated content to refresh the database library, including project descriptions, resumes, and boilerplate write-ups.
Tracks proposal pursuits, including wins/losses and time allocation.
Supports other marketing activities and special projects as needed.
Mentors and trains junior staff, as required.
Benefits
The estimated starting base salary for this role is $110,000-$125,000.

Requirements
Possesses advanced understanding of the proposal response process.
Possesses advanced knowledge of technical writing principles, practices, and standards.
Analyzes complex issues and uses sound judgment and experience to develop solutions.
Uses effective communication and negotiation skills to guide, influence, and coordinates others.
Works well within a team environment.
Works effectively under pressure and under challenging deadlines.
Is willing to adjust work schedule as needed to meet deadlines.
Self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Possesses intermediate to advanced knowledge of Adobe InDesign, as well as the Microsoft Office suite.

Education/Licensure
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, English, journalism, or equivalent experience through career progression.
APMP certification is desirable.
Years of Experience
Ten-plus years of experience in written marketing communications and the proposal response process.
