Founded in 1986, Reston, VA-based Architecture, Incorporated is a 60-person, award-winning planning, architecture, and interior design practice that is united in the belief that as trusted advisers and design leaders, we reach beyond the predictable to turn vision into reality while solving complex challenges for public, private, and government clients—improving quality of life through the built environment. Our projects range from complex renovations to new construction for commercial, hospitality, education, healthcare, senior living, multifamily, and sports and recreation clients across the region. This wide range of design experience and core value of client service has made Architecture, Inc. recognized as one of the most prominent firms in the DMV.
Company History
In 1986, two Washington architects–William R. Drury and Rusty Shaw–joined forces to set up a collaborative architectural firm that would be committed to improving the quality of design. Having studied at the College of Architecture at Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University, a common commitment for excellence in design existed. The vision and values of these founding partners continue to sustain the success of Architecture, Inc. today.
