Bowie Gridley Architects is committed to

client base brings diverse projects in master
planning, educational facilities, sports and
recreation buildings, cultural arts centers and
historic preservation to the firm. Bowie Gridley
Architects’ award-winning designs are
characterized by contextually-based design
solutions that skillfully focus and reflect the
individual needs and goals of each individual
institution. The fact that more than 80 percent
of our projects are for repeat clients is
evidence of quality services and enduring
relationships.
Company History
The firm was founded in 1981 by two partners-Cal
Bowie and Bill Gridley. The firm initially
designed primarily residential projects, but
quickly moved into institutional design for a
high end client base. Orginally located in
Dupont Circle, the firm moved to Georgetown in
1995.
