Company History
DLR Group History
In 1966, Irv Dana, FAIA, Bill Larson, FAIA and Jim Roubal, FPE formed Dana Larson and Roubal and Associates, a full service architecture and engineering firm working from the Midwest with a lot of professional energy and a growing roster of clients. The need to better serve these clients prompted geographic expansion. Over the last four decades the firm has opened and acquired new offices, which further extended our culture and heritage to reach back over one hundred years. DLR Group's heritage and culture has grown from the important intertwining of diverse legacies; from the sharing of experience and knowledge between renowned design leaders and young leaders to be; and from over a century of entrepreneurial spirit and innovative drive.
Today, with successful leadership transition and strong growth, the evolution of this great historical culture and legacy is well in hand. DLR Group has become a firm that is much more than the sum of its parts.
