Company History
Girard Engineering celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2008. We started as a small operation, and have slowly and steadily grown to more than 40 engineers and designers providing expertise in the design of building systems. We are proud of our talented and hard-working team of professionals, and of the distinctive portfolio of building projects that we have assembled over the past three decades.
Our work in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering has been applied to many different types of projects—most notably in the
corporate, commercial, government, and institutional markets. We have designed complex, mission-critical spaces for uninterrupted operations, sensitive historic restorations, and cutting-edge LEED® environments.
Our portfolio includes many prominent base buildings as well as sophisticated interior build-outs. We are proud to have been a part of
the consulting teams for many award-winning projects, and we value
the role we play in supporting architects and their clients in meeting the highest standards for building design.
Notable Accomplishments / Recognition
We have recently had two of our office building projects certified LEED Platinum: 1225 Connecticut Avenue, and 700 6th Street, both in Washington DC.
We are currently providing MEP engineering services for the new 1.2 million SF U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters in Washington DC.
