Established in 1995, HadenStanziale is a full-service planning, landscape architecture and civil engineering firm headquartered in Durham, North Carolina. Founding Principals, Mr. Jim Haden and Mr. George Stanziale, bring more than 60 years combined experience gained while serving as Principals-In-Charge of projects throughout the United States and the Caribbean for an internationally renowned firm.

While focused on the southeastern U.S., the firm practices nationally with active projects in ten states. Projects range from 10,000-acre planned communities to urban plazas and from mixed-use villages to county-wide greenway plans. All projects share a common bond: the firm’s process. HadenStanziale focuses on providing a complete process, which begins with listening to the client and learning his or her vision for the project and gaining a thorough understanding of the site - its opportunities and constraints. This results in a wellthought-out, realistic plan that responds to the site and meets the client’s goals. Throughout the process, HadenStanziale staff members maintain open lines of communication with clients and colleagues to ensure the best possible work products.

HadenStanziale utilizes the strengths of its staff members to achieve project excellence. Areas of expertise include large-scale planning, urban design, recreation planning, graphics, detailed design, land development engineering, wastewater engineering, bicycle planning, pedestrian planning, and construction documentation. With an average of 16 years of experience, HadenStanziale’s staff offers clients a level of experience seldom found in a firm of its size.
