Paul J. Ford & Company offers a broad range of structural engineering services to architects, contractors, owners, and developers in the building industry, as well as the utilities and communication tower industries. With a long history of innovation and commitment to clients and communities, we take pride in being a nationally recognized structural engineering leader. Our portfolio of structural design projects spans 50+ years, 50 states, and 49 foreign countries.
Company History
In 1965, experienced engineer Paul (Joe) Ford establishes his own structural engineering services firm in Columbus, Ohio. The firm was incorporated as Paul J. Ford and Company in 1970 and became an employee-owned company in 1994. In 1970 the Company became involved in the design of new guyed and self-supporting towers to address the growing needs of the cable industry while becoming the structural engineer of record for many landmark buildings in Ohio. In 1979, the Company opened an office in Clearwater, Florida and in 1985 opened in Orlando. In 1992, the two consolidated into the Orlando office which is now in Winter Park, FL and currently holds our Buildings/Architecture Department. Recently, PJF has twice been named to "Top Workplaces in Central Ohio" by Columbus CEO and WBNS/10TV. In 2015 Paul J. Ford & Company became 100% employee-owned and celebrated its 50th Anniversary. We currently have structural and professional engineer registrations in all fifty states, the District of Columbia and Canada.
