The ADP Group mission is to “create value through design excellence” – simply put, we believe that by committing to design excellence we can significantly enhance the value of our clients’ holdings. For example, the land planning services we offer are designed to examine a piece of undeveloped land, and through a systematic evaluation of environmental constraints, zoning requirements and development approval processes, as well as the client’s vision and financial limitations, create a program for the development of that property which clearly demonstrates the land’s maximum potential.
Architecture and interior design, when provided by dedicated professionals, also create value through built environments which efficiently meet the program requirements. The ADP Group commitment to quality design of facilities and interior spaces not only enhances the value of the project itself, but creates lasting value through more efficient operations, lower maintenance and energy costs, and increased productivity.
The ADP Group design teams artfully combine programmatic requirements with stylistic vision, ensuring an end product which is efficient, flexible and responsive, as well as aesthetically pleasing. This approach, combined with sensitivity to community and environment, results in places which enhance the quality of life for the end user and create lasting value for our clients.
The ADP Group employs sustainable design strategies during the design process. At the outset, the client is informed as to the green technology best suited to create a facility which is both efficient and cost effective, as well as environmentally sensitive. Our design philosophy addresses core issues such as habitat conservation, building orientation and water quality, and we work towards a final product which employs building materials and systems that reduce energy and water consumption.
In short, The ADP Group is dedicated to providing quality, responsible integrated services and comprehensive professional support to clients throughout the total land acquisition, approval, development and construction process.
Company History
In 1984, ADP Associates, Inc., an architecture firm, merged with Land Resource Strategies, Inc., a land planning firm. In 1990 this partnership was enhanced with the addition of an interior design firm, Interior Architects, Inc. and later Abitar, Inc. an interiors procurement division. The resulting multi-disciplinary firm is now collectively known as The ADP Group.
The land development consulting division, led by partner Bruce Franklin, with broad experience in all aspects of land planning, community development and governmental review, is able to provide services to obtain development approvals and regulatory permits, as well as investment consultation/evaluation studies for commercial, institutional and residential development.
Our design teams, directed by Javier Suarez, AIA and Robert Town, AIA, work with clients to transform concepts into architectural reality. Full service architectural needs can be met ranging from preliminary feasibility studies through construction documentation and administration. Our licensed interior designers are dedicated to professional planning and design of interior spaces. Services range from basic space planning through full-service interior design, furniture/fixture specification & procurement and installation management. The design teams approach each project with sensitivity to the natural environment , seeking to educate clients on the environmental and life cycle cost benefits of sustainable design. These multiple entities are coordinated by managing partner, Peter Houk who directs the financial administration and business development aspects of the practice and organizes the unique venues within the firm.
The ADP Group staff has grown considerably from 9 employees when the firm was organized to 40 plus employees today. During that same period, firm revenues have grown six-fold through a successful expansion program focusing on client satisfaction through efficient project control and aggressive recruiting of top quality staff.
The combined land planning, architecture and interior design services may be offered to our clients through the ADP Group as a comprehensive package encompassing all the professional services required to provide them with state-of-the-art facilities. Alternatively, the firm’s services may be tailored to accomplish specific tasks such as winning approval of a variance request or providing expert testimony.
