ANAHEIM, Calif., - (BUSINESS WIRE) - August 25, 2009 – Willdan Group, Inc. ("Willdan") (NASDAQ: WLDN), today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Willdan Energy Solutions (WES), was awarded a $67 million contract with Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc., (Con Edison), a subsidiary of Consolidated Edison, Inc., (NYSE: ED), to implement Con Edison's new energy efficiency program for small business customers.
On March 12, 2009, the Western Council of Construction Consumers (WCCC), the local chapter of the Construction Users Round Table (CURT), held its thirteenth annual Distinguished Project Awards Banquet. Awards were handed out in three categories: Distinguished Project (WCCC’s highest award), followed by Exceptional Project and Outstanding Project. Three projects for which Willdan provided project and/or construction management services were presented awards.
