We have an immediate opening for a highly motivated Houston-based Business Development Specialist. This role functions as a member of the firmwide Client Development (CDEV) team, under the guidance of the Regional BD Manager and may be a strong fit for someone currently working as a marketing coordinator, proposal coordinator, client service coordinator, project coordinator, or early-career BD professional who is ready to grow into a more externally facing business development role.
You’ll help strengthen TBG’s presence in the Houston market by supporting client outreach, tracking opportunities, coordinating follow-up, and helping the team execute local business development priorities, providing a consistent local presence in the Houston market; regional travel involved.
Requirements
Requirements:
- 5–7 years of experience in business development, marketing, client service, proposal coordination, or related professional services experience; Houston based AEC experience preferred.
- Knowledge of the Houston market, and strategic understanding of business development. This role will be a connector and liaison both internally and externally
- Strong organization and follow-through
- Relationship-oriented communication style
- Experience supporting BD, marketing, proposals, events, client service, or professional services
- Ability to maintain CRM/pipeline data; Deltek Vantagepoint preferred
- Houston-based availability
Preferred:
- AEC experience
- Houston market familiarity
- Deltek Vantagepoint
- ULI/AIA/SMPS involvement
- Public/private sector client exposure
