At TDA, our dedication to excellence in architectural design for educational and municipal projects drives our every endeavor. We’re seeking a detail-oriented and creative Proposal Manager to lead the development of compelling, high-quality proposals that help grow our 100% employee-owned organization. In this role, you’ll manage the proposal process from start to finish—partnering with technical experts, leadership, and consultants to produce clear, visually engaging, and persuasive responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys managing multiple deadlines, collaborating across teams, and continuously improving processes, while maintaining a high standard of quality and design.
Key Responsibilities:
As Proposal Manager, you’ll play a key role in our marketing efforts by:
- Leading proposal pursuits from kickoff through submission, ensuring deadlines are met and materials are accurate, polished, and on brand.
- Producing proposal and interview materials using Adobe InDesign, managing all components including narratives, resumes, project descriptions, photography, and consultant information.
- Monitoring public and private procurement sites to identify new proposal opportunities aligned with the organization’s goals.
- Continuously improving proposal processes, templates, and tools to increase efficiency, consistency, and quality.
- Maintaining proposal databases and content libraries, tracking past submissions, outcomes, and upcoming opportunities.
- Staying current on industry trends, tools, and best practices to strengthen proposal strategy and presentation.
- Collaborating with and mentor team members, fostering a supportive, learning-oriented environment.
- Supporting broader Communications initiatives as needed and contributing to team-wide goals.
- Contributing to other related initiatives as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- At least two years of experience supporting proposals, marketing, or related functions (experience in AEC or professional services is a plus).
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail, including proofreading and quality control.
- A strong eye for design and understanding of layout and visual storytelling.
- Ability to interpret and apply brand standards consistently.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign, and related tools.
- A collaborative mindset and genuine interest in helping others succeed.
Work Environment & Travel: This role is primarily office-based, with occasional local travel to project sites, client meetings, or stakeholder engagements. The opportunity to work on a hybrid basis is available after an initial onboarding period.
